OPUS CONCERT SERIES presents Opus 1: Black Angels - an immersive concert experience featuring the live orchestral sounds of Ensemble LPR, cinmatic projections by Chnnls (Little Cinema), visuals by Christian Hannon, and aerial performance spectacles by House of Yes.

Performed by electric string quartet, harp, clarinet and percussion paired with film, visuals and theatrics and curated by Ricardo Romaneiro, Opus Concert Series breathes new life into George Crumb's Black Angels composition. Black Angels draws from an arsenal of sounds including shouting, chanting, whistling, whispering, gongs, maracas, and crystal glasses. The composition takes the spectator on a haunting and mesmerizing voyage of the soul from Departure (fall from grace), Absence (spiritual annihilation) to Return (redemption).

The Black Angel perfromance will be blended with select scenes, dreams and words from the film Wings Of Desire by Little Cinema's founder and AV artist CHNNLS (Jay Rinsky) blurring the lines of film, live music and perfromance,

It is an ideal setting for Bach’s exquisite Cantata No. 78.  These concerts reach across four centuries to premiere three concertinos by Michael Torke. “A vitally inventive composer,” raves the Financial Times.
